Our program ensures fair market value (FMV) for all devices, accepts devices from any Canadian carrier, and guarantees to offer more value than any Canadian carrier trade-in program.
Included in our buyback program is a 100% guaranteed data erase service, ensuring complete data erasure from every device. This service also ensures compliance with ISO 27001 and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act of Canada (PIPEDA). We provide a proof report for each device, demonstrating that all data has been securely erased.

How the Program Works
- Contact one of our Cell Medics locations to arrange shipping and or drop off
- Devices are received at one of our Cell Medics locations
- We inspect your devices and determine the fair market value based on which grade the devices fall into:
| Grade | Description |
| Mint | Device is fully functional and near new condition |
| Good | Device is fully functional with cosmetic damage |
| Fair | Device has minor dents/scratches with other functionality issues (battery capacity below 80%, mic issue, speaker issue, charging port issue) |
| Broken | Device is defective – some components are not working, liquid\physical damage or the device has a broken LCD |
| ID Locked | Device still contains a user account such as Apple ID or Gmail account. These devices still qualify for buyback |
- We provide a quote for your devices.
- If you accept the quote, you can choose to receive the buyback amount either as a cheque or as an account credit for future purchases.
- All buybacks are final. To maximize the value of your devices, they must be in working condition and include batteries and back covers.
Prepare Your Smartphone for Buyback
While we guarantee the complete erasure of all data from every device, we recommend performing a factory data reset on any device you bring to our buyback program as an additional precaution.
