Repair FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a console repair take?
Most standard repairs, such as Nintendo Switch screen replacements or fan cleanings, are completed the same day. Complex motherboard repairs (like HDMI port soldering) typically take 24-48 hours to allow for proper stress testing.
Will I lose my game saves or data?
In the vast majority of cases (HDMI ports, disc drives, screens), your data remains safe. If the issue is with the hard drive itself, we will do our best to back up your data before replacing the drive, but we always recommend backing up your saves to the cloud before bringing it in if possible.
What do I need to bring with my console?
Just the console itself! You do not need to bring cables, controllers, or games unless the issue is specifically related to them (e.g., a controller that won't sync or a specific game that won't read).
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and select mobile payment methods.
Where is your repair facility located?
Our retail and walk-in location is on 130th Ave SE, right next to Starbucks. Our head office is located near Deerfoot City in Calgary, AB, where we also conduct training sessions and other operational activities.
Can you fix overheating or loud fan noise?
Absolutely. Overheating is often caused by dust buildup or dried thermal paste.
Do you offer a warranty on repairs?
Yes. We stand behind our work with a comprehensive warranty on parts and labor. If the part we replaced fails, we will fix it for free.
Do you fix "Stick Drift" on controllers?
Yes, we repair Joy-Con drift for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 and stick drift on DualSense (PS5) and Xbox controllers. We can replace the internal mechanisms to make them precise again.
